About this policy
This policy explains how RouteBundler (“RouteBundler”, “we”, “us”) handles personal information when you visit routebundler.com or use the RouteBundler app, including the driver workspace, your account and company workspaces.
If anything here is unclear, email support@routebundler.com.
Information you give us
Account details. Your email address, and if you add them, your name, a contact phone number, employer, job role and app preferences. A phone number you type is contact information; it is not verified as a sign-in method.
Google sign-in. If you continue with Google, Google shares your basic profile: name, email address and profile picture. We do not ask for access to your Gmail, Drive, Contacts or Calendar.
Messages to us. What you send when you email, call or message RouteBundler for support.
Delivery and customer information
To plan and track routes, RouteBundler stores what you enter about your deliveries: addresses, map links, coordinates, customer names and phone numbers, areas, notes, amounts to collect, saved customers, routes, delivery status (delivered, failed, postponed) and workday history.
This is often information about other people. Only enter customer information you are allowed to use for your delivery work, and keep sensitive or unrelated details out of notes.
Location
RouteBundler uses your current location only when you ask it to, for example to set your starting point or show where you are on the map, and only if you allow location access in your browser. You can refuse or withdraw that permission in your browser settings; you can still type or choose locations instead.
When you optimize a route, the coordinates of your start, stops and finish are sent to our servers and to the routing service described below.
Earnings, payments and company workspaces
Earnings. If your plan includes Earnings, we store the pay rates, tips, expenses and cash figures you enter, with workday summaries. They are private to your account.
Paying for a plan. A payment request stores the plan quote, a payment reference and any receipt details you submit so we can confirm the payment. Never send passwords or card security codes.
Company workspaces. If you join a company workspace, its administrators can see company orders and routes, their delivery status and your membership details. They cannot see your personal routes, saved customers or earnings. Leaving a company does not delete your own account.
Device, browser and technical information
The app keeps some information in your browser (local storage and an offline cache) so your route keeps working with a weak connection and your preferences are remembered. Signing in sets cookies that keep your session. This information stays on the device until you sign out, clear it in the app or clear your browser data.
We also keep sign-in, session and security records, such as when you signed in and on which device, to protect accounts and investigate problems. Our hosting and database providers record technical information such as IP addresses, browser type and request times as part of running the service.
routebundler.com does not currently use advertising trackers or third-party analytics.
How we use information
We use the information above to:
- create and secure your account and sign you in;
- plan, optimize and display your routes, and hand stops over to the navigation or messaging app you choose;
- save your work and sync it between your signed-in devices;
- apply the limits of your plan and process plan payments;
- run company workspaces for the members of that company;
- answer support requests, fix problems and prevent misuse.
RouteBundler does not sell personal information, and does not use your delivery or customer information for advertising.
Service providers and other services
We rely on service providers to run RouteBundler. They receive only what they need for their part of the service:
- Supabase provides sign-in (including sending sign-in emails) and the database where your account and synced data are stored.
- Vercel hosts the website and app.
- OpenStreetMap map tiles are loaded by your browser directly from OpenStreetMap’s tile servers, which see your IP address and the map area being viewed.
- Route calculation sends route coordinates to the routing service RouteBundler uses to compute road travel and stop order.
- Shared map links you paste may be opened by our server at the provider that created them (for example Google Maps) to read the location.
- Google receives your sign-in request if you choose Google sign-in.
When you open a stop in Google Maps, call a customer or send a WhatsApp message, the details needed for that action go to that service or app and are handled under its own privacy policy.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect the safety and rights of users and RouteBundler.
Where information is processed
Our providers operate infrastructure in more than one country, so your information may be stored or processed outside the country where you live. You can email support@routebundler.com to ask where your information is processed.
Security
Connections to RouteBundler use HTTPS. Database access rules limit each account to its own records and company members to their company’s work, and administrator tools are separate from the customer app. No system is completely secure, so please use a sign-in method you control and tell us straight away if you think your account has been misused.
How long we keep information
We keep account and synced route information while your account is active and as long as needed to provide the service. Plan limits on how much history you can view are not a promise that older records are deleted on that date.
When you ask us to delete your account, we delete your information, except what we need to keep some of it for security, dispute, accounting or legal reasons, for example payment records.
Your choices and rights
You can edit your profile, remove saved customers, sign out of devices and turn off location access at any time.
You can also email support@routebundler.com to ask for a copy of your information, or for it to be corrected, exported or deleted, or to object to or restrict how we use it where the law gives you that right. We may need to confirm your identity first. Depending on where you live, you may also be able to complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
RouteBundler is a work tool for delivery and business use. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
We will update this page when the product or our practices change, and change the date at the top. If a change is significant, we will take reasonable steps to let users know before it takes effect.
